DUCATI Panigale V4 R擁有240匹最大馬力，V4引擎更達到16,500rpm最高轉數，單從數字來說，這部「神獸」已成為了史上最強市販1000cc超電。DUCATI之所以製造這部所謂「市販超電」，最大原因要用她重奪失落多年WSBK(世界超級電單車賽)世界冠軍，所以DUCATI不惜工本，將不少真正的MotoGP技術投放到新款Panigale V4 R身上，而高昂的車價也反影獨特地位。
 
Panigale V4R換Akrapovic賽車KIT喉後能夠輸出240.5hp最大馬力，濕重只有188.5kg
DUCATI將WSBK廠車的乾式離合器投放至新款R版，比舊款更細更輕.
 
廠方還將WSBK的變速箱比率移植至新款DUCATI Panigale V4 R，讓1及2檔稍為長氣少少，減少1檔的野蠻度，變得更容易控制，適合更多不同彎道使用，但不乏強勁的出彎加速力。
 
除了引擎之外，廠方還改良專為DUCATI Panigale V4 R設計的直徑43mm Ohlins NPX 25/30倒立前叉，增加5mm行程，而全調校的Ohlins TTX36單筒尾避震改用更軟彈簧，以改善吸震性能。
